I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Eccles, North West England, England) in Jul 2016
Interview
i got in to the place right on time but the other two had already gone inside.
two other sat at a table, already introducing theirself
i sat down listened and introduced myself
they asked about what we knew about how aldi is different from other stores
spoke about bar codes, palet tills ect
then gave a maths test
then there was a group test whihc was awful
she gave a piece of paper with a scenario on it to one women, she just sat there reading it . I had tomove around and look over her and read it, but i could actualy read it it was so small and awkward.i should have stopped her and said "look this is a group exercise , why dont you read it out aload, but i just sat there struggling to read it. then the intervierer asked about what you would do, i was still reading but know got even more distracted and couldnt say anything. i should have been more assertive
Long and unnecessary with 4 rounds of interviews. One online then another 3 in store around a table with all the other candidates. It was pleasant but very long winded and I took another job in the time it took to get to the final interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They give you lots of different scenarios for things that can happen in store and where your priorities should be, previous experience in a similar role is an absolute necessity

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (Maynooth) in Oct 2025
Interview
Online interview through their website. You have about 3 days to complete it. Every answer is recorded and you can't redo the recording. There was 4 questions. The timer counts you down for each question (about 20 second). The frustrating part is it only gave me 15 seconds to answer each question.
