I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AESC US (Florence, SC) in Apr 2025
Interview
The panel interview with five production team members was generally positive. The questions asked seemed reasonable, and a few appeared to be gathering ideas for potential improvements to their operations. However, I wasn’t particularly impressed with one of the hiring managers. That person seemed to be trying to undermine me or nitpick on aspects of my resume that I had experience in. Perhaps it was a good thing I wasn’t selected for the role. I could definitely sense arrogance within the managers, which was a bit uncomfortable, but I tried to remain composed. I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AESC US in May 2025
Interview
This was a relatively short process - the first interview is with someone overseas at their HQ office. Ultimately, 3-4 rounds over interviews with the hiring team in the span of 2-3 weeks.
Worst Interview Experience
The hiring managers seemed uninterested in conducting the interviews. They were not listening, and some of them were so rude that they cut me off multiple times, mentioning they had other meetings to attend. It felt like the interviews were being conducted just for the sake of it.
If you don’t have time to conduct an interview due to other commitments, it would be better to reschedule instead of wasting everyone’s time.
Additionally, the Engineering Managers seemed unsure about what skills were required for the role. He mentioned that they were still figuring it out, as it was a new manufacturing area for them. I would not recommend this company, at least for now, until they figure things out and hire the right talent in their management team
