Interview
Application & Screening
Resume Review: Recruiter/HR shortlists based on required skills, tools, and experience.
Screening Call (HR): A 20–30 min call covering:
Background and career overview
Motivation for applying
Salary expectations, notice period, location preference
Pretty standard--initial phone screen, then brought in on-site to interview with a couple people at the same time. I wouldn't have hired me based on how the interview went, so no hard feelings there. However, I did get ghosted by their recruiter (who is employed by ACV Auctions, not a third party) as several other people have mentioned. Was told I would "definitely" hear from them in the next week or two and never did despite following up once.
The true character of a person is how they treat someone when there is nothing in it for them. I don't know that I would want to work at a place like that.

Interview
Worst interview process ever! I applied twice in two consecutive years and the same recruiter reaches out to me each time for an initial phone call. And then he ends up not calling at all despite of me having reached out on what happened to the scheduled call. I had a sense of pride for ACV auctions as to I’ve seen them grow so high over the four years of my undergrad at University at Buffalo. But this behavior from the recruiter is totally not worth it!
