This is for Senior Software Engineer position for the company CerQlar (ACT is parent company), so writing the review here. CerQlar reached me out for this position, The first introduction round went well, we both agreed on the requirements. Then had the second round which is technical, It also went well. The tech stacks and requirements were discussed. They are happy with that and gave the assignment project to complete. Its different debate to have the assignment or not. I did completed the assignment on time and put lot of effort and time (more than a week) and submitted. After few days i just received a very vague email stating that "Unfortunately we won’t be moving forward with your candidacy at this time, with limited space open for this position, our process just became quite competitive quickly.". I feel this is very vague and disappointing response and they did not even mention anything about the assignments not even small feedback provided on my assignment where I spent lot of time and effort to make it. They could have given this feedback in my first round itself, not sure why they really wasted my time. I am expecting some courtesy on the candidates effort instead simply throwing away with a vague response. I also sent a gentle follow up email asking some feedback on the project to see what went wrong, but no response. I agree there could be better candidate and respect the decision but have some courtesy and provide proper feedback respecting their time and effort spent for you.
