Applied on Indeed and received an email two days later for a phone screening that week. Phone screening was only 5 minutes, the screener did not really know the job well beyond the job listing. I was asked typical STARS question and one question regarding specific software. I did not feel like I was given ample opportunity to present myself and had to force it during the conversation.
I was then called unprompted two weeks later to conduct a 1.5 hr online interview with 3 interviewers the next day, with less than 24 hours notice. I was unemployed, so I was able to make the time, but you can see how this may be an unreasonable request.
5 minutes before the interview, I was told that the last interviewer (Head of HR) would not make it. Ok...
Interviews with the Document Control/Quality team actually went great. They were thorough, went through plenty of situational based questions, let me talk about my previous roles, and how I could contribute to the current company.
Afterwards, I followed-up immediately with my HR contact about if I would meet with the Head of HR still. I followed up another week later about the status of my application. I was ghosted both times.
It seems like ACON Labs has knowledgeable people in science, but HR ghosting candidates, conducting lackluster (or no) interviews, and asking unreasonable timeframes makes me feel like I was just another candidate to interview to fulfill company policy. Do better.
