Submitted my application in January and didn't hear back until late April. Scheduled a telephone interview with HR in early May and was invited to an assessment day in late May.
It took HR months to reply to my application, and my interviewer had to reschedule the call several times in the week leading up to the interview. On the actual day, she never called! I rang 10 minutes after our agreed time, and reception informed me that my interviewer was stuck in meetings. I asked her to ring me back asap, but two hours later, she sent me an email asking to reschedule for the next day.
During the interview itself, I answered one of the questions with general industry developments, that my interviewer had no clue about! I was extremely shocked because ABA is a market research company. The interviewer not keeping up with industry developments reflects extremely badly on the company!! I was told she would call back within the week to let me know if I was successful. I heard back 3 weeks later.
Overall, I had a very negative experience, with my interviewer being unprofessional and not knowledgeable about the industry at all. I was initially very excited about Aba, but after several negative experiences during the initial recruitment process, I couldn't even bring myself to attend their assessment centre. If this is a reflection of how the company is run, I'm glad I dodged that bullet.
