I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AAA Moving & Storage (Fairbanks, AK) in Nov 2011
Interview
Quick. No nonsense. The interviewer/Supervisor was real cool and easygoing. It was pretty informal. No application. I just handed him my resume. He basically asked if I had any previous experience as a mover to which I answered yes. It also didn't hurt that I was 6' 230lbs. of muscle either. He also asked my availability status and whether or not I had a CDL. I did have a question for him though. Being that I was recently released from incarceration and was constantly denied an opportunity for work a countless number of times from numerous employers, I was reluctant to ask the moment of truth question. Do you hire people with a felony conviction? Imagine my delight when he said yes. The only reason I asked was because he hadn't, which was a first. I would definitely recommend anyone with similar circumstances to apply with this company.
