Remote only discussed job opps and salary ranges. There had been many layoffs in recent years and high turnover so approached wearily. Reputation in the marketplace hasn’t been highly favorable.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at A. M. Castle
Interview
Interview was 2 phases phone call and onsite.
It went well but they had gone with another candidate. A week passed and they advised if I was still interested which I was. Received an offer letter and accepted. Had a couple of onboarding items and got to the background check, submitted all items to clear a discrepancy. Heard back the same day to be advised the offer and position was placed on hold due to budget cuts. I feel that this was not only a waste of time but ultimately I have no job now as I already provided notice to my current employer would not recommend castle metals or it’s subsidiaries to anyone looking for employment
The Interview Process was pleasant involving typical multiple stages—including online assessments, the initial screening, then onto a few phone interviews with the recruiter and lastly an in-person interview with the Branch Manager.
