      Digital Marketing Intern Interview

      13 Dec 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Lehi, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at 97th Floor (Lehi, UT) in Oct 2020

      Interview

First, they had me sit through an hour-long zoom meeting with 50 other applicants where we listened to a lecture about 97th floor. Following the lecture, they took the next hour to separate us into breakout rooms and do individual interviews. Each person was given about ten minutes to interview. While people were slowly separated into breakout rooms the rest of us sat on the main call and asked questions to the main interviewer. I was one of the last to be interviewed, meaning I sat in the main call for yet another hour. Finally, when it was my turn to be interviewed, I was quickly disappointed with the questions they asked me, and the ten minutes passed by without me being able to share any relevant information to the position. I think they were trying to ask questions that were innovative and different, but I just felt like it was a waste of my two hours. (For example, they asked me a lot about my Spanish second major and what TV shows I binge-watched over quarantine.... I was applying for a marketing internship.... in a ten-minute interview ) So... I don't know. I would say they definitely give off tech start-up vibes in the interview process, which could be appealing to some people, but was not enjoyable for me. And from their questions I would assume either they are looking for people based solely off of personality or they just don't care.

      Interview

The interview process was very professional, laid back, and extremely quick. This reflects the workplace environment there - which I loved as an intern. I would recommend this company to intern to any school or organization.
