      Interview

I had a generally professional interview experience, but I want to flag a disconnect that future candidates may want to be aware of. The job description and interview conversations positioned this role as a marketing coordination and content/operations-focused position and specifically mentioned a shift away from lead generation. Based on that, my background aligned well with what was outlined. After completing the interview process, I was informed that the company was moving forward with candidates who had more experience in lead generation within the home services sector, which was not reflected in the original job posting or discussions. I understand hiring priorities can evolve, but this mismatch resulted in unclear expectations and wasted time for both sides. Greater alignment between the job description, interview process, and evaluation criteria would improve the candidate experience.
