I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 8allocate in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview stages were clear, the interviewers tried to be more language-agnostic, and generally asked good questions to understand my understanding of a concept in computer science or language.
And at the end there was a conversation with the team in which each person who was responsible for specific part (backend, frontend, devops) asked questions about it.
The interview was a friendly and straightforward discussion focused on my past experience and responsibilities. They asked relevant technical questions related to the Ruby on Rails role to gauge my understanding. Overall, it was more of a knowledge-based conversation rather than a formal test.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about the 3 types of concerns in Ruby on Rails—what they are, why they're used, and how I apply each to organize application logic. Similarly, they asked about strong parameters—what they are, why they're needed, and their role.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at 8allocate (Kyiv, Kyiv) in Dec 2017
Interview
I had two stages of an interview: with CTO and CEO.
These were both 1 to 1 interviews in the office of the company.
The process took around a week from application till the offer.
