      Social Media Manager Interview

      29 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at 3Commas

      Interview

I was interviewed by CMO and one team member. I was informed that the process consists of two stages - two interviews. I completed both stages in four days and they let me know that results will be available next week. However, after the second interview I received test task (third stage) which was not agreed in the call that happened the same day. This was Friday and I planned my personal time which I had to delay because they sent me several questions that requested deep work, creativity, and time. I spent Saturday and Sunday working on the test, because as a full-time employee for another company, I didn't have time during the week. I submitted test on almost 10 pages, elaborating on everything they asked and providing even more than that. I am naturally very detailed person so the test was like that. I sent my test after two days on Monday morning. Then I waited 15 days. No response, neither positive or negative. I followed up with HR person on Monday after 15 days of waiting He didn't reply. This was red alert for me. I spent so much time, had two calls with the team, did a test, canceled my weekend plans, and now they didn't have time even for the email. The reply arrived at 5:29 pm on Friday! Needless to say that HR person replied at the last moment to meet the form and five days after I followed up. Very unprofessional. On top of that, the communication was constantly interrupted. I was sending one email and he was replying by starting completing new communication in another email/thread. When I check my email, I can see several communication threads with HR person, but we only had one about the same thing, but for some reason he didn't want to click reply but started completely new conversation like he was contacting you for the first time. I replied immediately to his message sharing my feedback and negative experience, lack of transparency and more than that. He offered compensation for the test because I was complaining that they wasted my time. I asked how much they offer. Again he didn't follow up and three days passed. I followed up and asked again about compensation for the test. I had a feeling that only at that moment he shared my feedback with the company. The next day he offered 100 EUR for the test. I rejected. This is humiliating. I had to beg for reply, feedback, and then even for their decision about compensation amount that he initially offered. Sorry but my weekend time with family is worth much more than 100 EUR. This shows me that you don't appreciate people, because if we you are setting additional steps then you need to properly pay for those. Very disappointed about this company and their staff, hope that you will learn how to treat the people and organize interviews professionally and respectively. Don't apply and never accept to waste personal time for the company that doesn't value people.
