I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at 1Password (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2021
Interview
It was a 30 minutes interview with no technical questions. It was a very comfortable environment to answer questions. There is enough time to ask a couple of questions to the interviewer at the end.
Very friendly and casual behavioural interview. Talked about past experiences/projects. No specific technical questions were asked. There was only one round of interviews, where the duration of the interview was around 30 minutes.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 1Password in Apr 2022
Interview
Very straightforward interview process. I truly felt like they wanted to know who I was as a person instead of how good you are in Leetcode, which was a great feeling. Everyone was super friendly and made you feel comfortable talking to them. The process for me started with a talk with a hiring manager. From there I had a chat with a senior engineer, in which we have a deep dive on my technical background and projects. Then I had an interview with another hiring manager, and lastly I interviewed with two other software engineers from the team.
