How are the career development opportunities at Tenet Healthcare?

The team I work with is the only reason why I have stayed so long, but morale and trust are dwindling quickly.

You are replaceable. Logical reasons are ignored, low performing employees are quickly promoted, high performing employees are targeted and pushed out, rules and management changes constantly, promotions are given to the least qualified and then inferiors are asked to train their new boss, always short staffed, often mandated to flex off and use personal PTO or not get paid, no recognition... I was once written up for "laughing too much." I reported harassment anonymously to the Ethics Line, and that person was called and directly notified it was me; I was forced to relocate by next day or lose my job.

Good company to grow within

Salary growth is very slow

Flexible with schedule and allowed you to take the holidays off.

There was no opportunity to advance your career. It was a flat organization with no movement, no training or learning of new skills, so no motivation because no advancement

Work from home that's it.

Toxic work environment. They will give you low review even though you perform well. If someone resign you will not sleep because you will do all their work. Very low salary compared to your job. Not worth it working here. No career opportunities. People are always angry for no reason especially the IT people. You also do the works of other department even though it's not your job. If you are a CPA, the non CPA bosses will gang up on you.

Blessed to have this job and for the most part, I enjoy it but there are times that I just want to walk out the door and this could be said for most jobs probably. • coworkers and staff • somewhat flexible schedule as a manager • patients • love my specialty! • career advancement if you put in the work (listed under cons as well) - took me years but they just hired a supervisor with no experience and told her they would promote her to manager in a year

• upper management - they keep pushing working harder with less resources almost every day (seems like anyway) which is concerning - equipment, office space, staff, workload • need to keep office spaces looking nice to compete - spend money to renovate spaces and invest in larger spaces to move around in • upper management feels out of touch with our needs • compensation - given more practices with no bump in pay • processes/workflows do not function well - provider onboarding and credentialing at hospitals. Physicians complain often about providing several people with some of the same data, even numerous times to the same people on the same team • attendance policy - geared more toward the hospitals than the ambulatory clinics • upper management will ignore abusive physicians • career advancement if you put in the work (listed under pros as well) - took me years but they just hired a supervisor with no experience managing others and told her they would promote her to manager in a year
