What are sales commissions like at Stryker?

      Stryker reviews

      Commission Only

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Innovative products, internal team is very responsive, market leader in many divisions, it can pay well

      Cons

Work life balance, it’s 100% commission, lack of support from management

      Sales rep

      Sales representative
      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Incredible talent and learning opportunities, but really dependent on business unit you join

      Sales representative
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Amazing talent, Stryker hires the best of the best, you are surrounded by A+ players. Great opportunity to learn and be challenged. Tons of resources. Definitely great career opportunities to get promoted if you are performing. I’ve seen young professionals in their high 20s and low 30s become regional managers and marketing managers just from being a high sales performer. You can make $500K+ if you find the right territory.

      Cons

100% commission as of 2026, most expensive products vs 5 other competitive companies, commoditized portfolio with minimal sole source contracts. Awarded with other vendors for all major GPO contracts, and hospitals always decide on the lower cost option rather than the premium that Stryker charges. If you do join Stryker try to find a product portfolio that is niche and a necessity to the hospital, not a “nice to have”. Implants, surgical equipment, beds are all need to have. Toothbrushes and cloths are nice to have.

Life changing money - for a price

      Account manager
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pay varies by division and performance, but the average Stryker rep is paid very well. 100% commission role, annual bonus paid in Jan based on previous year. Sold for 3.5 years - in my worst year I made $265k, best I made $415k (in my mid-late twenties). Stryker is a very sales focused company - valued feedback from reps and has aggressive R&D and M&A to own whatever market they’re in. Great place to make life changing money as a young rep

      Cons

Stryker pays well so you put up with the toxic culture. Leadership blatantly says “Stryker first” meaning you’re expected to put company above family/personal life. Quota gets bigger and territory gets smaller every year. I ended up leaving after 8 years in various roles to prioritize family and mental health, both of which are neglected as a Stryker rep.

      Salary

      Sales representative
      Current employee
      Fayetteville, AR
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great Products that are the best in the field

      Cons

100% commission with zero expenses. If you don't have money saved, it is very possible it will take a year before you see any extra income. If you have the money and time to survive until you have a profitable territory, the there is no roof to your potential income.
