How are the career development opportunities at St John Ambulance?

Made some friends and location was near St Paul's Cathedral

Bullying, gaslighting leadership, green-washing, no maintenance team (no hot water in showers, security alarm went off for 11 days straight before someone fixed it, lack of building security, disgusting bathroom), rift between volunteers and paid staff, mental health support is poor, no career progression, nepotism in work experience kids, no understanding as to what the goal of the charity is, quick turn around in staff, poor pay, financial incompetence.

Good training programme, everyone is really friendly and helpful, and lots of opportunities are provided to participate.

Can be quite rigorous, takes up a lot of time which is unpaid.

Environment positive and fun. No toxic staff. Experience and learn a lot here.

Lacking of career developments and post PHC exposure.

Incredibly supportive when I required chemo and a stem cell transplant for cancer. An inspirational charity where you can make a difference.

Can be inward looking, lack perspective and create "treacle" to make progress sticky going at times. Some cultural issues but most employees and volunteers are good to work with.
