Pros
- During the recruitment and hiring process, "culture" is hammered home and touted as the "secret sauce" - it sounds great, and after 2 years of being here, I can attest to Simpson backing up what they say, culture is greatly respected by all.
- The transparency and openness from the top level leadership is second to none. The entire C-suite is open about what is going on within the company and provides clear direction of where we are heading.
- The brand Simpson represents is well-respected within the construction industry. Almost all customers appreciate the amount of time we spend coaching them on new products and technology.
- Simpson invests heavily in their employees. From orientation, to leadership training to ongoing professional development, they go all-in on their employees.
Cons
- The company is in massive growth mode, which is definitely leading to a higher workload. Management seems aware of this and is trying to balance growth with the needed resources to prevent burnout.
- Certain areas of the company can be difficult to work with, however it isn't impossible and it is the exception, not the rule.
- It is not a household name for most people, so you may need to explain who you work for.
