What is working from home like at Select Medical?

Good company to work for. Everyone works as a team. No one micro-manages my day to day work. Many/most folks have been there 5, 10, 15+ years. Pretty solid company. Lots of flexibility like work from home, early start time to finish work early, Flex Time (I can take a long lunch for doc appts and such). Great work like balance.

The healthcare benefit is expensive compared to my spouses company and my previous employer.

Regular hours, benefits, not much else

Pervasive micromanagement, low pay, required 12 hour days once a month, WFH may be an option but workers in the office get special treatment. Zero commute benefits (including when required to go into the office), unrealistic workload, lack of communication from all management. Subtle punishment for WFH, not doing OT, or asking questions about procedures or decisions. Departments aren't allowed to communicate with one another, a lot of secrecy. People regularly work off the clock to keep up with the work load so they don't get negative reviews.

Work from home 3 days a week. Great supporting staff. Opportunity for growth.

Disconnected from colleagues that work in the field

Work from home, large company in which everyone I met came across as very professional.

Cycle through personnel quickly, at least in IT department. Steep learning curve and poor on-boarding. Lots of nepotism.
