      SAP review

      Software developer

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

1️⃣ Strong Brand & Stability SAP is one of the world’s largest enterprise software companies — very stable, well-established, and financially strong. You rarely worry about sudden layoffs compared to smaller startups. 2️⃣ Cutting-Edge Enterprise Tech You get to work with large-scale, mission-critical technologies: ERP, cloud, databases (HANA), AI, and industry solutions for huge global customers. 3️⃣ Good Work-Life Balance In most SAP offices, the culture is relatively relaxed — reasonable working hours, flexible working options, and remote work policies are common.

      Cons

SAP is huge — which means there’s red tape. Decision-making can be slow, and adopting new tools or ideas can take time.

      Good option in Vancouver

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good environment, stock performing well over the last few years, 3 day work from home. Competitive salary for the location

      Cons

Salary could be higher, work life balance dependent on manager/team

Meaningful gap between company declared values regarding employee' care and applied version

      Business processes senior consultant
      Current employee
      Bucharest, Bucuresti
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Leading products and services, highly collaborative environment, good benefits, fantastic access to internal learning resources (best on the market on own products and services, as expected), great internal support department services (IT, HR, Facility, Car Fleet), high quality office furniture, hybrid work (work from home & office).

      Cons

Unpredictable leadership decisions, employees not consulted before major changes (example: mandatory return to office policy, layoffs), corporate communication from the Board is improvable, to be gentle, not keeping the promise of ”Pledge to Flex” despite 100% promises during pandemic times, and going back on their word, despite people having to rearrange their lives based on company communications and promises. Which makes them feel unreliable on these aspects. Diversity is advertised as cherished, but if you have an opinion different than most of the team and/or manager, ostracism is still an existing practice, and silent treatments are not seen as abuse. A lot of bla-bla in e-mail communication and all-hands types of meetings. Very high utilization targets (>95%), which often leads to burnout for high performers.

      Untrustworthy CEO and Board

      Software architect
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great team members, pleasant work environment, middle management comprised of reasonable and honest people, good work-life balance (before return to the office policy)

      Cons

Absolutely untrustworthy and volatile CEO and Board, who do not keep their pledges, even in the face of excellent results. The last 4 years and particularly 2023 have proven work from home yields the necessary performance and the financial results and stock movements prove it. However, it's been decided employees should go back to the office for 3 days a week. Many of the reasons why this is nonsense are obvious, proven by facts and have been mentioned here, but I'll focus on the main argument CEO Christian Klein has stated, which is that more experienced people have to help new hires who feel lost when starting out. I've mentored several interns over the work from home period without ever seeing them in person. During this time I've always been available to guide them via chat or call. All these people have met or exceeded expectations, doing better than previous interns who've worked from the office. If interns can do it so can anyone while enjoying all the WFH benefits. It's not the responsibility of all employees around the globe to solve problems with new hires not demonstrating sufficient communication skills. This is something to discuss on a case by case basis with the new hire's mentor or decided by a team and their manager. That's how it currently works and it's effective. The CEO's main argument for RTO is completely superficial, yet affects more than a 100 thousand people.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Good maternity benefits, staggered back to work program, able to apply for exceptions to work from home if needed

      Cons

Getting promotions can be difficult to fight for, increments are not that high

      Decent employer, could be better

      Senior bid manager
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

There was a work from home policy but, SAP is adjusting it. There had been good work/life balance. Stock purchase plan is nice, but comparable I’m sure to other large software companies.

      Cons

The raises have been behind inflation and cost of living. The company is not stable; constant threat of layoffs; clear goal to offshore as many jobs as they can. Inequity in pay policies and advancement opportunities.
