      A Case Study in Disappointment

      Marketing manager
      Current employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

There are limited pros to working here in my experience. There are possibilities for international assignments or projects- though assignments for growth are given based on favouritism not competence. Some individuals are friendly depending on your luck and some flexibility is provided for work hours (depending on team and manager).

      Cons

The company culture is plagued by favoritism, incompetence, and a toxic atmosphere of gossip and bullying, leading to high turnover and limited professional growth. This insular environment fosters a lack of broader industry knowledge among staff. This is dependent on the team however this is my first hand experience. In my entire career I have never worked in such a toxic environment.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Your feedback helps. We’re pleased with the progress we’ve made and are proud of our culture, but this is an ongoing, living process. We recognize there will always be room for improvement, because when you’re not afraid to fail, you push yourself further. Our culture is an essential element that allows our organization to succeed globally, and we want our employees to feel inspired and engaged to do their best work. We want you to be empowered and to have the autonomy and freedom to influence, lead and inform from any position. We constantly strive to create an environment that prioritizes a range of diverse perspectives, creating the conditions where community, connection, and collaboration can thrive, and where you can come as the person you are. This is absolutely essential to the work we do and allows us to bring medicines and diagnostic solutions more quickly to the patients who are counting on us. Our intent is to be an organization where all the people who support our mission can do their best work, be them contractors or full time employees. We recognize that not all may have this experience, but we’re working on improving our ability to deliver on this for all individuals. Roche Talent Marketing

slow pace with good work life balance

      Sr. software engineer
      Former employee
      Santa Clara, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

good work life balance and good working culture, not toxic at all

      Cons

pay is not comparable in the bay

Teams need upgrading, poor training, poor mid-level managers

      Associate
      Current employee
      Mississauga, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good hybrid model, great office, good benefits, overall good culture, but actual work life has many issues

      Cons

Poor training, unclear employment description. Manager is so busy, has no time for new hires, sometimes don't see or get to speak to the manager for weeks. Some teams are stuck doing things in an inefficient way (my team still takes faxed forms...), seeking to make their jobs seem more complicated than it is. Many teams can be shrunk using proper software and AI which would get rid of redundant work. Lots of bottlenecks when using external, international teams. They kind of want you to appear and sound more busy and important than you actually are.
