I started this job in September, and my onboarding experience was one of the worst I’ve encountered. Instead of receiving a proper walkthrough of how HubSpot and email marketing are implemented at Revelo, I was directed to watch tutorials—despite already holding certifications in those areas.
The marketing team is stretched incredibly thin, and the infrastructure within HubSpot (such as data points and custom objects) is unclear and poorly organized. Email marketing at Revelo feels more like a numbers-driven sales process, with a focus on blasting 60-100 emails at a time rather than using thoughtful, strategic campaigns.
Leadership’s understanding of email marketing is concerning. On one occasion, I was even instructed to send an email without an unsubscribe link, which is just spam.
Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing jobs I’ve held. Unless significant improvements are made in onboarding, infrastructure, and compliance, I cannot recommend this position to others.
Work life balance is non existent, I am consistently receiving slack messages after hours with no regard to my personal time.
