What is working from home like at Resorts World Sentosa?

-some colleagues are really nice, depends -free ticket for employees (6 tix/attraction) & tix 50% off for family/friends -bad medical claim (only at panel doctors) - benefits they mentioned are actually essential XD -no work from home available ( but there's OT at home with no pay haha)

-pantry says it all, super small, only provide fridge, hot & cold water -management decision are not consistent, not firm, and scared to be responsible for anything. They will push you to answer whenever possible -workload is crazy (can never finish), OT with no pay -you won't be appreciated even if you're doing an excellent job. Feedbacks are useless, management heard you but there won't be any action taken -many flower pot will keep chatting with management cause delay to all the jos that require approval -many troubles left behind to be cleared by the precious PIC -if you're applying executive level, good luck cuz the SE & above will push the jobs to you -some worked really hard for 8 years then finally get promoted to SE, whereas some hired as SE and become flower pot -toxic working environment due to very bias management, depends on your team & boss

Competitive salary, some interesting opportunities due to unique location

Very political environment, no cohesion between departments. Everyone just pushes work around so they can do less. A lot of dead weight people around. Long hours if your boss is workaholic. Your voice doesn't matter, just keep head down and listen to those above. Totally zero work from home.

- Exposure to a variety of tech due to absorbing project that was previously outsourced to multiple different vendors (although a lot of the projects are not that well maintained) - Opportunity to weigh your knowledge against current practice and think about why things are done in certain manner (instead of having everything already there)

- Cancelled work from home arrangement because they own their own building - Legacy system with not much plan / strategy to adopt the latest technology - Most if not all people gets hired through contract (renewable every year) and no staff benefits at any of the establishment in the resorts - Business unit has too much power over timeline of project and deadline is often unrealistic

I was able to learn many skills including photoshop

I was unable to learn well due to covid and work from home

Colleagues are chill Good food places nearby CBD area Good learning opportunities for entry level

Slow work processes Boring office culture Empty pantry 9-6 no wfh

Looking for work life balance, well you can’t bring a theme park home to work

Long standing hours under the heat
