The pay is good compared to other people companies. I find dispatch very good and helpful. Equipment is generally in good condition, and if it's not, there is a way to complain and get it fixed. Other opportunities available in the field of healthcare

Antiquated system for tracking overtime. Expectation that you come in before shift to check ambulance off the clock (you should be paid for any work you do). Medics literally get away with murder. Good old boy nepotism. Insurance is decent but they force you to use a northwell doctor, so goodbye to my primary care physician

As a therapist you get a lot of continuing education opportunities. The benefits are great. You learn a lot, especially early in your career. You get time for documentation.

The pay is lower than other hospital based clinics. This may have changed since I started. Also, the documentation is getting over the top with a lot of requirements for completing notes.

Hardly any promotions or bonuses as pay is low. Salary increases are cents never dollars. This causes the company to have a low attrition for employees as people will look for higher paying jobs doing the same work elsewhere. This is what happened in my case, I had to leave because the pay was so low for the four years that I worked there, that I took on more work and did so many tasks but the pay remained the same! No room for growth
