Pros
Leaving is the only pro. The anxiety and panic attacks from being stressed to the max, coupled with little pay, aren't worth it. Also, there's a good chance you will become homeless. Read the one star reviews to learn more.
Cons
I've worked for a major competitor, so my insight will be a bit different than most. This company takes advantage of those who have never worked in the industry; People who don't know that their commission percentage is extremely low compared to other companies. People who don't realize that NDR still uses tech and guidelines straight out of 2009. They hire people from marginalized communities who are desperate for an average income.
Every process they implement is more cumbersome than necessary. This is done intentionally. Even the enrollment process for clients is 5x more lengthy than our competitors. They make you work 5x harder for a lot less pay, but they're counting on you not being aware of that. They also charge clients more than competitors, AND make it difficult for them to enroll. No other company requires you to send documents before you can enroll.
Barely anyone is making 10k a month. If they were, there wouldn't be such high turnover. Almost everyone in my original training class is gone. The team leads who shadowed us in training are gone. And it hasn't even been that long. No matter what they tell you, team leads are not making 300k. That's just absurd lol. Nobody wants to be in sales. Everyone, even the "top performers", work very hard to get out of there within a few months.
They will micromanage you to hell. You will have zero autonomy whatsoever. You will have wfm hounding you about adherence, IN A SALES ROLE. Like "so yes, Mr. Customer, who I spent all day trying to get a hold of, let me call you back. I have a break in 5 minutes". And then the QA process is so stringent, the rules change every other day. They also use AI to grade ALL of your calls. Most of the policies are not an industry requirement, just additional hoops to jump through to appease executive leadership. They don't wanna be indicted for all their shady practices.
They don't adhere to FTC regulations and will call prospects at any time of the day and night. THEY DON'T CARE. You will break many many laws working here. You will also call the same old expired leads several times a day for months on end.
You cannot nurture your own leads, heck the leads that you do pitch aren't even yours. If someone else happens to speak to your client, they can just take it at will. The phone system is garbage, and will route your client to whomever. You will also rarely get an inbound call. And too, most of the leads that you do speak to won't qualify for enrollment anyway. Just a waste of time.
There's zero transparency. You don't have access to listen to previous calls in Salesforce, like other companies allow. So if you want to see what another agent said to a client, there's no way to verify that. All the original content we went over in training is inaccessible, locked away. You cannot access anything from your mobile, so if you're someone who likes to catch up on emails while away or follow up with clients, ya can't. You cannot save the ever-changing sales script for later use or practice. You cannot download any work related materials for offline use.
You will be inundated with chargeback after chargeback, resulting in you owing the company money when all is said and done. They have zero intention on paying you more that $15 an hour. Overtime pay is only half your hourly, not time and a half. Then they have the nerve to limit that, when you're basically working for free anyway. Even spiffs are snatched back after they are earned.
This company is so cheap. They give you an ancient desktop when most of our competitors provide their reps with laptops. It's clear they do not have to resources they claim they have and the business model isn't as successful as they'd like you to believe. Most clients will cancel, it's just a fact.
I could go on but this is getting lengthy...
