What is working from home like at Moneypenny?

      Moneypenny reviews

Worst place I've ever worked. AVOID!

      Pros

When you reach the end of your shift.

      Cons

Management - 95% should not be in the position they are. More concerned with their status than the people they're supposed to be in charge of. Sickness policy - People openly abuse mental health concerns & take regular time off / work from home but those that do have genuine illness are punished by being forced back into the office before they are well enough, resulting in more time off & being placed on warnings. This is what the work from home policy should be for. You want happy employees? Let them work in comfort whilst recovering safely. It's not difficult! Culture - Cliquey & almost cult like. Living off a reputation that is 5 years out of date. What once may have been a great place to work is now a highly toxic environment where the staff are treated with contempt by senior management. Only the results matter.

      Pros

You can make some great friends.. (when you actually find 2 minutes to have a conversation)

      Cons

Where do I start? The ‘we don’t focus on stats’ line is not true, everything is monitored, even the time you take to go to the bathroom… moneypenny pride themselves on saying if you need to have a quick breather then by all means do..but a colleague walks past and stops for a quick ‘how are you today’ - unacceptable- you get an email asking ‘is everything okay I can see your logged out, we’re busy, LOG IN!’ - there is no lenience, and no thought for people who are just having a bad day or suffering with mental health or have things going on outside the office. Got an appointment? Prove it!, naturally this requires a call sometimes to a Drs or dentist who are only open in office hours, your allowed to make this call but should it take longer than 5 minutes then you have to email scheduling to pay it back from your own time before or after the shift for trying to obtain something THEY have asked for.. sickness.. don’t even get me started.. its all fluffed up with ‘how can we help you? Let us know if you need absolutely anything!’ - yet you ask for something as simple as working from home for a couple of days so as not to lose out on pay, and get a point blank no because your stats aren’t ‘eligible’ for it- yet if you have Covid or there’s a sprinkle of snow, the first thing out of their mouths is can you work from home (suddenly stats don’t matter at that point when it helps them) They don’t want to help you at all it’s just something they have to put on the email, - yes email- nobody speaks to you in person to check on your wellbeing and the return to works are so robotic- there’s no sick pay and half the time the SSP is left off pay and has to be emailed to request this is corrected.. they change rules as and when they see fit and managers come and go so frequently from departments you never get chance to build a relationship with them for them to actually understand your progress, each manager wants different things so your always doing something wrong no matter who is watching, new clients are taken on when they shouldn’t be as there often isn’t enough staff to deal with the calls that come in causing the need for other departments to stand in and errors to be made as they do not usually deal with those calls, but all the higher up staff want is the money and we are left to deal with the incompetence and complaints that comes with it.. we are barely paid enough to cover our bills with the way the world is going and there are no benefits offered that make life easier for anyone. All in all this is honestly the worst place I have ever worked and would never wish this job on my worst enemy, unless your face fits and you suck up to everyone, you get no support and no chance of progression, you cannot have any ounce of common sense or compassion because this will just get you fired or demoted.
