Pros
Jane is a company that will allow you to grow, change direction when it feels right, and help you find your interests and passions. More than any other company, I've seen them allow not just support team members, but others move between departments to learn and try something new, all while still supporting the departments and simultaneously providing growth and development.
In my personal experience, I was able to work hard, quickly move up in our support structure, and apply past experience while learning new skills to different teams, operations, and being allowed to provide valuable feedback and opportunities to the great people running the company.
There is plenty of opportunity here for those who want to take it. It's not always easy, as it's very much a high growth environment. What comes along with progress and opportunity, is ambiguity and the need to push yourself and learn as you grow. A growth mindset applies here but is rewarding and satisfying as you develop your skills and build a great company with everyone here.
Cons
I was reading a lot of the cons that other people write, and I want to acknowledge that I appreciate that everyone has their own experiences in what their environment is like and what work they do. People can have things happening outside of the job that impact their work, or other contributing factors that cause frustration or other things. I personally believe that Jane is a place where you can speak up and work through frustrations and have opportunity to try new things and to be supported in overcoming the issues in a wholistic way. If you're reading this, don't let the described toxicity or other things sway you away from being a part of this amazing company. Those are isolated experiences where I believe it takes two to overcome them, and Jane is always there to support you.
While the ambiguity is sometimes frustrating, and the pace can feel slower at times than others, my only real con here was the salary and lack of commission. However, that being said, the opportunity to learn, grow, be a part of the feedback and development of current and new operations, is invaluable. One of the reasons I chose to leave was to support my lifestyle more and increase my earning potential for the next few years of my life. If you're a support person coming from another support role, though, your earning potential is so much higher here than almost any other company you'll find right now, with safety, security, and great benefits.
