What is the hiring process like at Iron Mountain?

People - despite being here only 3 weeks I have found everyone to be very collaborative and supportive which has greatly helped with the onboarding process Culture - I have been very surprised at the very positive culture present (for such a large company). It genuinely feels that people want to help and you are not just a number - and there appears to be a genuine work-life balance Work - While only being 3 weeks in, the job is very fulfilling with huge potential

Onboarding process was somewhat chaotic. Some tasks assigned as part of the onboarding process no longer exist and I had to try and figure out all the different systems without any checklists

I recently had the experience of working for a company based in Boston, MA, with the Engineering team located in Tampa, FL, and another significant presence in India, encompassing various levels from management to Engineering leads. During my tenure, I observed some challenges in the organizational culture and communication, which I believe could be improved. Notably, I found the decision-making process regarding layoffs to be unclear. Despite receiving a high performance review (4.0 out of 4.0), I was unexpectedly laid off. This coincided with the company hiring new team members, which raised some questions for me about the criteria used for these decisions. For those considering employment with this company, I would advise paying close attention to the company culture and communication practices during the interview process. It's crucial to ensure that the environment aligns with your professional values and expectations for a supportive and transparent workplace.

Most of the staff were salt of the earth.

Made redundant, I was part of the inaugural set up of the project yet the way I was treated by the Company was shocking. No senior management ever checked on my well being throughout this process with the exception of a lovely HR lead. I was then deleted from all communication on the exact minute of my departure.

Payscale is average when compared with other top giants

Not much here. Decent benefits, nothing to write home about but great work life balance for those of us who have been grandfathered into remote status. Hybrid will still have a pretty good wlb too.

No growth opp unless you move within a 45 minute radius of office (inside sales just went to hybrid but I’m grandfathered in). They are harsh on their new employees, not truly giving them their whole ramp period to get onto the job. Everyone is friends with each other, if you’re not…well you better be.
