How are the career development opportunities at Iron Mountain?

There is a certain degree of flexibility in the day to day tasks. Management is helpful and open-to-improvement ideas, and the salary is competitive.

There are not many opportunities for further development as the skills developed in the role are not very attractive for other areas, which could make difficult to do a career path change in the future.

Very toxic work culture. Stubborn managers and leadership with no recognition for any creative work or working overtime to get additional last minute tasks done. Managers are waiting for you to make 1 small mistake to play the blame game even if you do 9/10 things right. Feels like everyone has fit into this mold to keep their position and throw someone else under the bus. For a dinosaur company like iron mountain they sure hire and fire faster than a silicon valley start-up. Even though the company just started unlimited PTO, management makes it utterly difficult to approve even 2-3 day leave requests. Feels like company was forced to implement unlimited PTO to avoid paying a bulk of employees they constantly fire instead of actually benefitting the employee which is how it was presented, but sadly that is not the case. For any employee thinking of join IM, please do your due diligence before leaving your current job.

Stable company, good business model in terms of records management, ALM and Data center

Digital Business Unit sucks. Toxic culture, CTO dives into code, have strong point of view in systems design (not always right), copy the competitor mindset, no real innovation, misaligned with the vision. Board gets sugar coated view. No career growth opportunity. Attitude towards employee: "Be thankful you have a job"

repetitive work, lack of scheduling flexibility, point system that reset yearly, lack of non managerial career advancement.
