Pros
high job security food, transport
Cons
2nd party services, dress code
Pros
For corporate employees, the company offers massive salaries with little to no expectation of results. Even basic tasks, like answering emails in a timely manner, are seen as extraordinary. If you're comfortable operating in mediocrity, you'll thrive here.
Cons
The work culture here is highly toxic, which I’ll define as a lack of clear direction from senior leadership and a general dismissal of feedback from subject matter experts. Senior leaders often adopt an "Emperor’s New Clothes" mentality, where any feedback that doesn’t praise them or the company is ignored. There’s a lack of stability at the top, with CEOs in North America averaging only 10-18 months in the role, and senior leadership positions turning over every 18-24 months. This lack of continuity leads to constant shifts in organizational direction, creating a culture of mediocrity where employees focus more on surviving and protecting their positions rather than striving for excellence. High performers are frequently sidelined in favor of leadership’s friends or company "favorites." Those who are truly working hard to deliver results are often overlooked, while those who align themselves with leadership receive special treatment, regardless of their actual contributions. The company’s core values and Employee Value Proposition—"Be who you are. Become what you want. Be part of something bigger"—are aspirational but ultimately hollow, as they bear no real weight in the company’s day-to-day operations. Layoffs are a regular occurrence (often annually, sometimes biannually), and there’s a prevailing sense of uncertainty about job security. Oddly, entire business functions have been eliminated, only for new leaders to later realize they needed those roles. Meanwhile, senior leadership tends to have a network of personal connections they place in high-paying, specialty positions that don’t produce tangible results but still receive top dollar. There seems to be a lack of emotional intelligence and business acumen among many leaders, which compounds the instability and often results in ineffective decision-making. To improve, this organization would benefit from a thorough audit to identify duplicative costs and an overhaul of its leadership structure to bring in more competent and stable leaders.
Pros
Good benefits Good environment work/life balance
Cons
No job stability, lack of planing
Pros
Meeting different people. That's the best I can say as there are NO pros working for ISS
Cons
Minimum pay for maximum work. Working in a hospital setting, this company wants more and more out of you for no extra. You get no extra benefits, no breaks as you have time limits to finish the work. If you fall behind you'll spend your breaks catching up or be penalised for not finishing the job. They basically pick when you have holidays as there's always an excuse as to why they reject them. They make such a big deal about health and well-being yet they care little about it, your punished with stages if your ill and have time off, regardless of the reason of illness, stage 1 no time off within 3 months, stage 2 =6 months stage 3= 1 year!. In a hospital setting your bound to pick things up. Iss just don't care. So many staff working whilst so ill because they are scared of losing their jobs. Or they are taking annual leave to cover their sickness so they get put on these stupid stages. Wake up ISS and stop punishing the people that are holding your company together. The domestic staff have it easy compared to the housekeepers, there work is constant from the minute they enter their wards, they are seriously over worked and underpaid. They get no rest as 1 housekeeper has to look after up to 32 patients. If they ask for help from supervisors they are ignored or told help will arrive, but never does. They are tired and worn out with how much work they have to do only for iss to introduce more things for them to do. The company as a whole need to look at how their staff are overworked in the hospital setting and start looking at how they can help not hinder them. It's disgusting how staff are treated. I wouldn't recommend this company to noone as its joke how they get away treating people the way they do. My opinion overall ...dont work for this company! Absolute disgrace how people mean so little to them .
