Pros
- Reasonably nice office in London and flexibility to work from home.
Cons
- Management team have completely unrealistic expectations and no idea how to get to where they want to be. They’ll change direction enough to give you whiplash.
- Toxic culture where you are made to feel like just a number. Sales will always be prioritised over employee wellbeing.
- You’ll likely be given a job to do that is completely different from the one you applied for. People will leave every month and you will just be expected to pick up their work. Many roles are not backfilled, yet the output of the team is expected to stay the same.
- So much time is spent in internal meetings, ‘deep diving’ into issues and creating action plans that never get actioned because there isn’t enough resource to do them.
- Internal processes are ridiculously complex for the size of the company, so getting anything done is a slow and painful process.
- Everything is a song and dance to appease the investors. Targets are completely unachievable.
- The best you can hope for as a reward for hard work is a ‘Hyperfive’… an automated email ‘thank you’. No monetary benefit, no pay rises and no clear career progression or support from HR.
