Pros
The work is not bad and the people are not bad. You can work from home and have an hour lunch. And it's room for growth within the company if you can last that long.
Cons
The benefits suck. And it's hard to have a work life balance. The pay is alright for a college student maybe, it's $16.00 an hour. So not for someone that actually has bills to pay. You go through an extensive 3 week training course that's in a class-room setting which is not bad. You can not call off during that time, even if it's an emergency. They tell you during the interview that if it's an emergency or if one of your kids get sick if you communicate that with your supervisor, they will work with you but that's a LIE, they will disqualify you period. So if you have kids or a family or anything outside of Heartland going on, you better put that on pause until you finish training pretty much. And then they put you on a 3-month probation after your training where they make sure you do not take any days off until after your probation. Also, you don't have any PTO until after your 1 year of working. You do not get paid for holidays until after the first year. However, the supervisors are always on vacation or away from the office. Also, they monitor EVERYTHING, your meetings, what you search on the computer, break time, lunch, phone calls, Every-Thing is Monitored so please be AWARE. Also, you are hardwired to the internet so not mobility to move around.
