Pros
entry level fast hiring process
Cons
i dont see any so far
Pros
Deliberate and intentional hiring of women in IT
Cons
Remaining inequity with job titles and responsibilities.
Pros
The PTO is the best thing if you can even get this job anymore. They stopped hiring Americans so they could hire people in the Philippines. just ask (literally all) of my amazing coworkers that got fired and no longer work there either because the company wanted to cut costs and hire people from the Philippines. This is not me being hateful, this is me telling the truth of exactly what’s going on. If you are an American, don’t waste your time applying for a customer rep job at global payments. Maybe you have a chance at other positions but this is the only one I know about for a fact.
Cons
Everything from the insulting pay, micro management to the company changing their policies constantly that makes employees jobs harder and overall worse.
Pros
Nice Offices Talented people in "doing" roles. Good client names for CV
Cons
Constant reorgs and "deckchair shuffling" don't hide the fact the organisation is completely disfunctional. Global Payments aquires new companies then leaves them to wither on the vine. Doesn't integrate with them and forces inappropriate products and architectures on them from corporate in an attempt to standardise everything. It's an absolute shambles from an organisational point of view and leadership either can't seem to fix it, or don't care.
Pros
Remote working , seemed flexible and nice to start with . Some of the people I met were friendly ( or seemed to be ) .
Cons
This was the worst experience I have faced with an employer and I'm not only mentally able to express it as it put me into a depression. I interviewed with GP and was offered a Role but I turned it down due to the offer not being high enough . I accepted another Role with another company . Unfortunately that company went through an org change so I was out of work after 6 months . My recruiter put me back in contact with GP , where I interviewed again for a created job for me , hours I wanted , Remote excellent salary all seemed perfect It was a role to grow into and learn as it was all new to me . I even turned down a contract job ( higher level and twice the salary) as I wanted a secure job ( after contracting through Covid) as I'd just had 2 children . I started everything was going great for the first 4 months all positive feedback " it takes time to learn some times years its complicated etc you are doing great" My Boss the guy who hired me had the worst communication never told me when he was travelling moved 121 moved catch ups moved or cancelled training ( my role involved looking after a team and supporting him so I need him to help me learn as well as my team) He just told me to read documents and was not supportive if I had questions or just wasn't online and contently showed as "Away". He also desperatly wanted to fire the new person we got in our team as They was so bad not getting it and not putting her camera on , They made certain comments that were feedback to him and me and even decided singing loudly in the office was fun and others did not. I stood up for them said to give her time as he told me it was complicated and she would learn I worked with them and I gave all feedback. Suddenly in month 5 I got a random 121 meeting put in ( he had moved or cancelled the previous 3) and when I joined I was told I was not performing that work was not completed on time ( I had no work overdue) I wasn't getting it quick enough My camera wasn't on in meetings ( It was on a good 85% I had a couple of colds no one wants to see someone cough and sneeze ) he demanded work he had never asked me for and work he had outstanding questions on / feedback I was waiting for . lastly my children were distracting me .. ( Which not the case ) it was so out of left field I was shocked and sad as my last job ended after 6 months due to redundancy before that I was a contractor working through covid and having children so not stable ! I was told I needed to improve and a plan would be sent to me . then next day he acted completely normal with my I did not get a plan or anything after it was very odd . So I carried on as I was before but when I asked to publish documents he wanted me to complete he would ignore me not give me contacts or no ok the document to go live . He would give me contradicting feedback and be away . I got good feedback from others ready to send my document out but without the ok from the boss, nothing could be done . We had no follow up meeting on my performance it was never mentioned again . I Then got to 6 month and I contacted HR about my probation and how it changed over . I then immediately got a meeting from my boss set up for that day . I was told I had not improved according to the plan - I said what plan ... he moved on listing other things I had not done and when I proved they were he said " Well its my decision and I decided not to keep you , I extended your probation by a week so you have 1 weeks notice " I was not informed my probation was extended and technically I was there over 6 months so should have had 4 weeks paid , but he did it to get me out as quickly and as meanly as possible . I then had no contact from anyone as he told the team not to speak to me so I wrapped up my work and left in silence . I was alone and with someone who has depression not in a good state. Multiple people said I should push for wrongful dismissal but I was not in the right mine to pursue if it was possible . So warning to anyone I would never work for this company again especially not this manager he seemed like a good guy but turned out to be a complete unsensitive, unaware and not there monster . He promised me a career and future to get me on board ( he knew about the other offer that I wish I had taken now ! ) then fired me for made up reasons .
Pros
No Pros at all Hybrid role
Cons
Don’t even waste your time to join this company. They are fraud. The worst management and no work life balance. You will constantly feel that they will throw you out of the company. The worst thing i saw was that they are racist. Let me tell you that in Canada in all the sales representative teams they only hire new immigrants or people who are relatively new and most importantly they only hire indians and blacks for this role so they can dominate them or show them that they are undervalued and as a new immigrant anyone would go and join them looking at the size of the company but good luck if you go for it you gonna remember the worst experience ever. They have no process to follow. They are rude, arrogant and it’s not employee friendly at all. They will ask you to keep your camera on if you are in a meeting and if you don’t unintentionally or even if you have a genuine reason they will screw you. Unrealistic targets, no support and if you raise your voice against them they will throw you out.
