Pros
Good pay and easy to get hired
Cons
Very cult-like. Weird business model. Yes the charities get additional help and get extra donations due to them, but the older generation that donate generally have no clue that a lot of the calls made by clever contacts are paid for by the charity. These calls don’t even have to convert/ generate a donation, as long as the customer/donator was on the call for long enough for you to get your introduction/ “ask” for donation out, the charity will get charged. You’re just another number, high turnover- they say it’s because it’s not for everyone- sure, agreed it’s not, but that’s because it’s not actually for anyone and some people just put up with it as it’s decent pay and if you’re good on the phone then you’ll do fine/average.
