      Pros

      Benefits, employee discount, working with recreational equipment. Coworkers are mostly great.

      Cons

      Toxic and petty management that only beats up on people and doesn’t appreciate anything employees do. All the best people are driven to quit or fired if they don’t knuckle under.

      Education, employee discount, cool customers, cool products fun atmosphere at times.Great workout moving products.

      Cons

      Too much work, some assistant managers tend to not know their job. The general manager is easy to work with. Assistant managers bring their own problems to work and take it out on outfitters. Outfitters can become punchings bags and get conflicting orders. Can be physically demanding.

      Pros

      50% discount on Basspro, Cabelas, and any brands owned by them. You will meet many interesting and kind people both in your coworkers, and on the sales floor.

      Cons

      Management sets completely unrealistic goals for club staff and then seems completely baffled when those goals aren't achieved. You have to be just as passionate about getting everyone in store to not only do their job, but also push credit cards. Management will make incredibly passive aggressive comments about individual employees value to other employees. Management will attempt to shame you into "working harder" by asking questions like "Why can't you be more like employee X? They got 5 club referrals last shift!"

      Dangerous: almost shot by customer and told it was fine and that I would be fired if it happened again. You will be forced to sell credit cards at all costs. You will have hours cut to keep as many people on part time status as possible.
