I'm convinced half the stuff we were doing there wasn't legal in some way or another. Overworked and severely underpaid— less than minimum wage for the state, and they get away with it by only hiring students.

Pay was below minimum wage!!! Paychecks were often not given on time, sometimes withheld for no reason. You will likely not be working with books most of the time- you will be packing hostess donut orders! Completely out of the job description.
