Pros
Unlike other travel agencies, I have had a 100% positive experience with every Aureus employee I've interacted with - my recruiter, other recruiters when they cover for her, payroll, onboarding, and even the workers comp team. I was injured walking into work a couple of assignments ago and my Aureus people had my back! They took great care of me and have always treated me like a human and not a business asset. No PTO of course but you get a $600 bonus for every 600 hours worked.
Cons
As with probably a lot of travel agencies, the jobs are there but take months to get unless you are willing to take any shift, any location. Aureus' presence is more limited in states that are dominated by other agencies like HealthTrust and extension negotiations have stalled more in the last couple of years as clients try to slash traveler pay on extensions, instead of maintaining or raising it. Also, the benefits are not great (especially retirement).
