Great benefits, free train, pay is higher than average.
Cons
Zero leadership, middle-management runs roughshod over team-leads, spineless upper management to political trends, poor communication, unreasonable deadlines
Good salary and benefits, work/life balance pretty good. Workload can be stressful but overall not bad. The culture is laid back.
Cons
Some departments have excellent upward mobility while some have none; you can hit a career plateau very quickly.
If your managers have no clout, then it'll be very hard to effect change.
Great Pay, Great work life balance, great people, great benefits, great 401K match
Cons
I suppose if you are looking to be a CEO your pay may not be the most compared to other railroads. But for front line, middle, and even upper management, the salaries are great.
