Pros
I joined the company about a year and a half ago and can’t say enough great things about the opportunities at Weather Analytics. The people are passionate, hardworking, and understand what it takes to build a successful young company. From the start I felt that I was able to contribute and that my thoughts/ideas were accepted using knowledge from previous internships and jobs which made me feel right at home. The work is extremely rewarding and I’ve been able to learn from all aspects of the business including science, tech, meteorology, product, client relations, business development, marketing and more. The CEO, Bill, knows the importance of company culture and takes the reigns on having parties, lunches, dinners, etc. No matter what your position is at the company he always makes an effort to get to know you which is hard to find in a CEO these days. I’ve seen many employees rise through the ranks as Bill has a keen eye for talent and skills that are easily relatable to upper level roles. Overall, this is a fantastic place to advance your career and develop skills that you wouldn’t be able to gain from a large corporate role.
Cons
This is not your typical 9-5 job and one day can be very different from the next. With that being said, the long hours you put in are well worth it when you deliver successful results for clients and hear from them first hand. The hard work truly pays off!
