Pros
Hands down one of the top shops in Miami. I’m a big fan of the way teams are organized between departments–it’s a collaborative structure that allows for roundly developed creative work backed by sound strategy and data. Expectations are high, but teams are given a great degree of autonomy in developing original campaigns and ideas. Best of all, the company has created a super-efficient workflow dynamic that consistently produces award-winning advertising within normal office hours (9-6), which for me, I love, because I get to make creative I’m proud of and still have time to enjoy my life (which often isn’t the case in this business). In terms of the brands, WMX's clients are varied and highly globalized with campaigns running all over the world in multiple languages and markets. As a creative, in particular, there are tons of opportunities to impact many different accounts and add a ton of variety to your portfolio in a short time.
On to the bennies: simply put the WMX benefits package is next level. If you’re on your fitness game, the gym program is second to none, with a free membership to one of the best gyms and Miami and the freedom to use it during lunch. The Healthcare package is top-notch, generous and easy to use. Working from midtown is also great with a lot of restaurants and shopping to take advantage of during breaks, lunch, and after work. Last but not least, the WMX Friday night happy hour is a long-running tradition not to be missed! Full bar, great people, and always an awesome way to end the week.
I highly recommend WMX to any and all ad folk who are interested in working at a growing boutique shop with a bright future.
Cons
None to speak of, so far so good!
