Pros

> A seriously creative team! Coming from an agency that focused on volume and efficiency this was certainly an adjustment. But it feels so good to be able to say "we did top notch work for that client, and we offered them something that they would not have gotten at a volume-focused agency. > Tremendous opportunities, if you're willing to put in the work. Think we should be doing something different? Come up with a plan for what we should be doing and pitch it. However, this does not come without hard work. I believe in work life balance, but I also understand if I want to see things change I might put in a couple of extra hours here or there to make that happen. That is my choice, and I do it because I believe in where we're going and I believe in all the awesomely creative and talented peers I get to work with.

Cons

> I'd love to have a more diverse workforce, or rather a better internal understanding of our diversity. We have amazing co-workers around the globe, internationally... how can we ensure we are speaking and acting from a space that is inclusive? > Cross departmental collaboration can be improved. Even as a small company, we are a bit siloed in our approach. I see the effort we are making to try and bridge the gap (weekly all-hands meetings, changes in workflows), but more work needs to be done so that we are a cohesive unit, regardless of department.

Pros

I have worked at ThoughtLab for quite a few years. I love the people at ThoughtLab. I love the flexibility. I appreciate the freedom to be yourself, and to have ideas that are heard. You are free to learn and grow, to make mistakes and to celebrate wins. I have seen many changes in my years here. Many ups and downs. I feel that we have grown stronger as a company and keep moving in the right direction. No company is perfect. There will always be things you agree with and things that you don't. I firmly believe in our company and direction it is moving. The pandemic changed how we do a lot of things. But many positives come out of it. We were able to expand our team to many other states and countries. We are seeking out the best of the best to give our clients amazing results no matter where the best are in the world! ThoughtLab is wonderful place to work. Our CEO really cares deeply about each employee. I see it everyday!

Cons

If you are not a go getter, this company would not be a fit. If you need your hand held, again this company is not for you. You need to be able to jump in with 2 feet and go! You have to be able to speak up, ask questions and find solutions. I don't think these are "cons", but just how things are here. I feel like one thing we need improvement with is communication. It is something we are working on and are striving to get better at. With the current conditions and the remote working, it has become an even bigger task that we are tackling. We are aware of it, and are implementing steps to improve. I also feel like I hear there are no processes in place here. I disagree. I think there are processes in place, just no accountability when processes are not followed. I feel like when you are in a relaxed culture, this might be an issue. It has gotten better, but it is a hard balance.
