Pros

They say the best you can get is 3/4 Ps. Well the Sydney Opera House more than over delivers on People, Product and Place.

Cons

Price - roles are generally underpaid when compared across the sector. Management relies on the prestige to retain good people. That said, the arts is underpaid and is a larger problem.

Fun team and lots to learn

Pros

I had nothing but lovely experiences in the tours team, company culture is important at SOH and it shows through the friendly and likeminded staff. Each day was different and there was always something new to learn

Cons

No progression or at least very little opportunities, and the tours department are definitely bottom of the barrel in the company as a whole

Very reliable, stable hours in many roles. Government, managers aren't out to make money by shafting the workers. Fairly good pay for the industry. Fully Unionized

Cons

Bureaucracy can make it difficult to get things done in some cases.
