The individuals who work at Step-by-Step give 100% to the consumers they serve. Employees truly care for one another. A very rewarding place to work.

Cons

Can be exhausting work, i.e., running, crawling, blocking etc.

Pros

Clinicians really care about the consumers; great benefit package including 4.5 weeks of paid leave in addition to PTO time; beautiful setting; management worked hard to show appreciation to staff.

Cons

Difficult to hire clinicians at the starting rate of pay and due to limited funding for some of the consumers, clinicians often felt the agency was under-staffed. Other than management, staff did not really understand the funding and the difficulty in running a non-profit center. Management often worked long hours and weekends.
