Pros

Management have been bold and made difficult decisions through 2025 which have resulted in a positive outlook for 2026 and exciting times ahead

Cons

There continue to be a small number of people remaining who are looking backward rather than forward.

Pros

RICS has been through a genuinely challenging 2025 when a programme of necessary transformation was underway. It was such a tough year I decided 2025 was the year to look for another opportunity. During my notice period, I started to see real positives beginning to take shape — the kind of change that takes time but felt meaningful. I did start a new role but realised after leaving that I wanted to be part of the RICS journey in 2026, I missed the great people who work here, the care and support I felt within my team, the great benefits with a market leading medical scheme and pension in place, in addition to the strong purpose of the organisation. Since recently returning, there has been a noticeable shift in energy and direction. There’s more focus on performance and recognition and increased clarity about where the organisation is heading. The recent Vision events were especially encouraging as RICS begins to build tomorrow together, as a membership body and a regulator. The conversations and sentiment were open, thoughtful and genuinely positive. The people who work at RICS care deeply about the organisation and its purpose, and that really shows. There’s still a lot of work to do, but it is exciting and positive work, and I’m glad to be “on the bus” and part of the change to come. I really do recommend RICS as a great place to work if you are a collaborative, self motivated employee and willing to roll your sleeves up and be part of the change needed.

Cons

The pace of change can feel demanding at times but the work is challenging and interesting.
