Pros

Precision Camera is full of some of the most amazing, forward-thinking, and creative people I've ever met. The store is fast-paced and always on top of current events and technology. They genuinely cared about my well-being. I worked there for several years, beginning as a receptionist, and working my way up the ladder to a sales position (which is the sought-after position there). They prefer to promote from within, and they helped to promote me to an even better position when I outgrew my sales position and moved on to represent one of the camera companies directly. They supported me through the whole process. They also pay well in sales, and it directly reflects the amount of effort you put into your position. The management and ownership are absolutely the most kind-hearted people I have ever worked for, and if it weren't for my ambition to climb the executive ladder, I would still be there. I extend my thanks to everyone at Precision, but especially Gregg, who helped me with anything I ever needed. You are so wonderful.

Cons

For me, standing on my feet all day became a challenge, but it was worth it.

Pros

Fun environment to work in, it's basically a big toy store. You get to work alongside passionate people with all sorts of different skill sets sharing a common thread - a love for photography/videography. Internal growth opportunities definitely exist if you ask and continue to pursue them - I worked in the lab, was promoted to service, and eventually was promoted to sales after making a conscious effort to go after opportunities and openings when they became available. After working here for 4 years total, I left to pursue another opportunity, and when I realized that wasn't the path for me, I came back to Precision because it felt like home and was a great stable environment to be in.

Cons

Schedule flexibility can be tough because everyone has set schedules. Hourly pay could be higher for non-commission based employees.
