Pros

One of the main benefits I have experienced working at Peninsula is the strong focus on career growth and development. Staff have clear pathways to progress within the business, and if someone is looking for a change, there is flexibility to move between departments. The onboarding process is extensive, ensuring you settle into your role comfortably, and there are ongoing training opportunities available for anyone who wants to upskill or broaden their knowledge. Another great benefit is the vibrant social culture within the business. There are various clubs and committees you can join, such as the social netball club, book club, and the social committee, which help foster relationships and create a fun, inclusive environment. Regular social events, including end-of-month office parties and team-building activities, make it easy to connect with colleagues outside of work tasks. One aspect I truly appreciate is the transparency and open communication between management and staff. Monthly business updates are hosted by senior leaders, giving insight into the company’s performance and future plans. Before these sessions, employees can submit anonymous questions, ensuring everyone has a voice. Additionally, performance reviews are conducted every six months, providing an opportunity for open dialogue, feedback, and goal setting. This consistent feedback loop helps track personal growth and career progression. Working at Peninsula also offers the chance to gain a wealth of knowledge in a short period. Because our clients come from diverse industries, you learn about industry-specific regulations and develop a broad understanding of employment relations across multiple sectors. This exposure is invaluable for professional development. One of the best parts of working at Peninsula is the ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Being in the office means you can leave work at work, which helps create clear boundaries between professional and personal life. This makes it easier to switch off after hours and enjoy your time outside of work. Finally, the staff perks are a standout feature. Peninsula provides a range of benefits, including complimentary snacks, tea and coffee trolleys, and referral bonuses that allow employees to earn extra income. These perks, combined with the supportive culture, make Peninsula a great place to work.

Cons

One downside is that there isn’t a coffee machine in the office. However, there is a café conveniently located downstairs and several other options nearby, so grabbing a coffee is still easy and accessible however it would be ideal to be able to make a quality free coffee.

Pros

Lots of opportunities for training and career development. I've been in my new role for just over 3 months now, and the amount of learning and growth that I've experienced in such a short time has been incredible. The management team are really supportive and always willing to help while emphasising on a strong focus for continuous learning and improvement. Being able to genuinely help and support our clients who lack the knowledge around employment relations and hearing them say how grateful they are for our help is incredibly rewarding. The team you work with are amazing - friendly, helpful and fun to be around. Each day is completely different from the last!

Cons

Fast-paced environment that might not suit everyone. Workload can be high at times due to the busy nature of the business, but the management team are always there for support when needed.
