Pros

Joining Mumsnet has been the best experience of my career so far. It's a highly respected publisher that truly makes a positive impact on the female community. That mission is evident in our daily work and resonates across every department - it's inspiring to collaborate with such passionate and talented people who are genuinely driven to make a difference. Justine Roberts, the founder, has done an outstanding job of motivating us and amplifying women's voices at the highest levels of influence. At Mumsnet, you're trusted to make decisions, treated like a professional, and given a great deal of autonomy. The company also prioritizes flexibility and supports a work/life balance that many publishers struggle to achieve.

Cons

Perhaps a new coffee machine.

Pros

Mumsnet has a fantastic culture, clear vision and strong purpose. It's a relatively small business by media standards, but punches above it's weight in lots of respects. Work is varied and interesting, and you get the chance to be involved in lots of different projects. Teams across the business work well together and there are no silos. Everyone feels like they have a say and can put ideas forward to senior management. Good benefits overall and lots of flexibility. Mumsnet, as you might imagine, is a great place for parents to work, as they fully understand the realities of balancing work and family life!

Cons

Due to it's size, Mumsnet doesn't have set salary bands or standard linear career paths. This means it might not be the place to work for those who expect this. However lots of people thrive at Mumsnet, and there are plenty of examples of people being promoted quickly and frequently, moving across different teams and areas of the business.
