Pros

Great coworkers and atmosphere Work in an industry that matters and in a position that can make a difference Autonomy - most employees are given the independence to carry out their work well Great opportunities for learning, growth, and advancement Excellent benefits Management really listens to ideas for change from employees Constant improvement

Cons

Some departments have gone through leadership changes recently that has led to some instability Salary is a little lower than industry averages. Great benefits and bonuses partially compensate for this, and it improves significantly over time Struggles with product stability

Pros

- If you are patient, LSS will always try to gear your job to something you want to do. - You are not a cog in the wheel, constant improvement is always in effect. - Look forward to being taken seriously and offering input immediately out of training. -Flexibility touches many areas. - Minnesota nice, in the sense that no one will really yell at you for anything, very low stress in development. - Great networking. - Fantastic planning and scheduling in development. - Some system tools are very neat and useful. - The software is interesting to dig into. - Adjustable hours are a huge plus when you have other items outside of 8-5. - As other bare reviews have mentioned, nickle soda and free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. - Dress code is low with polo's and slacks for men. Yearly raises and bonuses (others have complained that LSS does not pay well, and I wholly disagree. Most companies do not give out yearly raises). - Benefits are out of this world. Hope this helps as one of the more positive and clear reviews for LSS. Just like anything, you get what you put in.

Cons

- Obsolete internal tools/software. - Learning curve can be very difficult and intimidating for many people. Hard work must be had to understand how things work and how things relate between departments. - Poor communication for company-wide changes as well as inter-group changes. - Documentation and searching for answers is a drawn-out, complicated process. - Large inconsistencies between groups (mismatched deadlines and expectancies) - The groups in charge of documentation and review are far stronger since I have started. - Minnesota Nice - Newbies only get one 4:3 monitor. - People have a hard time making a new pot of coffee. - People complain that the coffee is terrible. -
