I loved getting to help my fellow union members and getting to see the inner workings of my union.
I got to go to a conference and meet other organizers from across the country and experience how other locals work to recruit members, as well as see programs being implemented to encourage membership.
Cons
Expectations of change with little room for suggestions or doing things your own way.
• this is a really good place to work if you want to work in the electrical field • most people don’t know about the union but they do offer a lot of benefits •The union also has a good pay scale especially if you join their apprentice program
Cons
• The only cons I can think of is if you don’t like getting down and dirty this probably isn’t for you because it’s construction • Also if you hate waking up pretty early for work this also will be kind of tough because most jobs start at either 6 or 7 in the morning so you have to be a the job site pretty early
