Pros

Quality of projects, i have not seen better. Worked at whatif, ideo, and Frog on contracts. Human sweat front end, much better consumer insight. Concepts and experiences better for it. Just more considered staff i think. Seen the new offices, really smart LOVED the travel. CEO - was a master class to see how he breaks down problems

Cons

CEO - ALMOST scary obsession on use of design in project documentation... 'everything we do must create empathy '- true!...but sometimes its just not feasible to design every document so its 'beautiful', especially when you have to get a project out the door whilst managing two others. This really frustrates many who are not used to working like this (especially contractors) Senior management stretched, when i was there not enough focus on embedding formal training, but this is balanced with rock solid client relationships. Very deep and to be honest you feel its genuine, they do care about clients, doing the right thing. Some pretty bad contractors there when i was there...drove me crazy.. No speaking at industry conferences, younger consultants want the opportunity to build their profile

We're glad to hear you found the work at Human rewarding - we thrive on the work that we do and are quite proud of the fact that we've been an award winning studio for two years running now. We also take onboard your points on areas for improvement - due to the nature of our business (being heavily project based) we do employ a number of freelancers. On occasions deadlines are tight and employees are required to work out of normal office hours but we do ensure they are compensated accordingly. That being said, we have implemented a new resourcing process to keep this to a minimum as we really value our employees work-life balance. In addition, we've formalised a new L&D programme to develop our talent within the business. Thanks again for your constructive feedback and taking the time to leave a review.

Pros

I had a candidate as me about the reviews on Glass Door so I thought I'd come a have a look. They're pretty hilarious - I've been chuckling way here at my desk. I have to say, it's pretty harsh. Some of the things are true (it is a very demanding place to work and the management drive you hard) but what's written here is way way over the top. Maybe it's changed since these reviews were written, but I actually think it's a pretty good place to work. And the CEO has always treated me well so I don't agree he's a maniac etc.... There have been some real wasters that have absolutely crashed out so maybe this is their view. We're working on a lot of really interesting projects here - much more than my mates at other agencies. I think it's pretty good actually

Cons

There is a few things that could be improving (working hours, pressure etc.), but I don't think it's any worse that any other fast growing company. There could be a bit more done on the cultural / social side, but I don't really hang around with work people anyway so it doesn't bother me...

Thank you for your candid feedback, we strive to create an open culture and value all feedback that acknowledge both our strengths and weaknesses so we can continuously improve. As a small agency, there are times of year which are busy - that being said, we very much value work-life balance and as a result, have implemented a new resourcing/ forecasting process to ensure that employees are not feeling overworked for extended periods of time. We have also taken onboard your feedback on planning more social events - we completely agree there should always be a focus on fun too! We're glad to see that overall you find Human a great place to work, and thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.
