Pros
FSG is a forward thinking company that is a pleasure to work at. It is so much more than a scientific publisher. Eclectic in its scope, it also encompasses a philanthropic wing which aims to enhance our understanding of the brain health of people who suffer head injuries, in addition to a charitable wing which helps talented young musicians from across the country. Merely being a part of this broadened my horizons more than I had anticipated. Equally, the support and skills development you get within the organisation is robust. The people within FSG are approachable and friendly, always willing to help. Overall, it has been the best place I have worked at.
Cons
From the start you get a lot of responsibility, which some could perceive as a con. However, as a new starter, this is the kind of exposure which is unmatched in other publishers and is very helpful for your skills development. For me this is more of a positive than a negative.
